Without discrimination, The Salvation Army reaches out to our community through the following ministries:

• Bread & Produce...
  Available Monday - Friday ( except holidays) 11:00 - 12:30 at 682 Gibsons Way.
  Free to all residents in need on the Sunshine Coast. Approximately 12,176 adults and children are served annually through the daily distribution of food.
  
• Lunch Program...
  A lunch to all residents in need on the Sunshine Coast.
  Available Tuesday and Friday 11:30am at unit 5-682 Gibsons Way. Approximately 3,700 are served hot meals annually.
  
• Harvest of Hope Food Bank...
  Is available once monthly for 'qualifying' residents that are in need from Port Mellon to Flume Road. Available at unit 5-682 Gibsons Way. Phone 604-886-3665 for dates. Approximately 1,600 people make use of our food bank annually.
• Emergency Assistance
  Vouchers are provided for use in our local Thrift Stores for clothing, furniture & household items. Other emergencies are assessed on an individual basis. Available to low income residents on the Sunshine Coast.
• Extreme Weather Emergency Shelter
  In extreme weather cases, we want to see all who have no fixed address keep warm, safe, and secure.  We open our shelter from 7pm to 7am when these circumstances occur until the spring of 2010.
• Sunshine Coast Community Church...
  We provide an environment where all will feel comfortable and accepted.  We are an international, evangelical church, dedicated to proclaiming Jesus Christ in our community and around the world. Church Service 10:30am #5 - 682 Gibsons Way.
• Pro Bono Lawyer...
  Free consultation is available once monthly for those in need on the Sunshine Coast. Phone for date and time.
  
• Community Christmas Dinner...
  An annual affair, where low income families are invited to attend and enjoy a lovely Christmas dinner combined with an evening of fellowship and festivities. For more information for 2009 Tuesday December 15th  Christmas dinner at camp sunrise contact the Salvation Army at 604 886-3665.
  
• Thrift Stores... In both Gibsons and Sechelt, The Salvation Army Thrift Stores are well stocked and serve a large community. If you have items you would like to donate or if you require further information about the Thrift Stores: Gibsons Thrift Store: 771 Gibsons Way, 604-886-3761
